The Hurricane Course

What an exceptional course for our members! It offers a range of challenges while being the more forgiving of the two, boasting a Par 72. With seven tee boxes and our unique “Scoring Tees,” every golfer can find the right balance of difficulty and enjoyment. The tips stretch to a respectable 6,743 yards (73.0/140), but most men prefer the III tees at 6,031 yards (69.7/127). For our female members, this course is shorter compared to the other. Although play can be extended to the IV tee at 5,538 yards (73.5/135), most choose the VI tee box at 4,794 yards (68.5/116). The Golf course was re-grassed with Bimini Bermuda in 2024
“Scoring Tees” — a golf course within a golf course — to allow players with clubhead speeds between 55 and 65 mph to reach greens in regulation, record far more pars and birdies, and generally enjoy a golf experience similar to long hitters. Now, players young and old have a comfortable course to play.

The 507-yard par-5 fourth hole features one of the largest landing areas for the drive at Pelican’s Nest. It gives you an opportunity to let loose, and possibly get home in two. For those laying up their second shot, the playable area begins to narrow a little, but is still wider than average. The shallow two-tiered green is protected by two pot bunkers front and back, and another larger bunker on the front right.

The Gator Course

This course is our lengthiest, boasting a Par 73 and stretching 6,930 yards (73.7/130) from the tips. The Gator course emphasizes distance with its five par 5’s, while only the par 3, 17th, requires a forced carry over water. Offering seven sets of tee boxes, including our “Scoring Tees,” golfers can tailor their experience to match their skill level. Most men opt for the III tees, spanning 6,149 yards (70.5/123). In comparison to the Hurricane course’s 5,275 yards (71.2/120) for ladies, this course adds 187 yards but doesn’t mandate any shots over water or marsh from the tee boxes. The Golf course was re-grassed with Bimini Bermuda in 2025.
“Scoring Tees” — a course suitable for super seniors, beginners and nine-holers. It allows golfers with a 55-65 mph clubhead speed to hit approaches into the green with a club similar to that of golfers with higher swing speeds.
