Our Story

The Story of The Nest

The Nest Golf Club, established before the development of Pelican Landing, holds a unique and cherished place in the golfing community. Originally conceived by Pelican’s Nest Associates—a partnership formed by Westinghouse Communities, Ritz Carlton Hotel, and the Registry Hotel—the club was envisioned as a championship golf destination in Bonita Springs. Westinghouse Communities managed the course, while the hotels were given priority for tee times, ensuring an exceptional experience for their guests.
From its earliest days, Pelican’s Nest Golf Course attracted legendary golfers such as Gary Player, Sam Snead, and Lee Trevino. The course garnered acclaim from prestigious publications including Golf Digest, Florida Golfer, and the Golf Course Architects Association, and was even highlighted by The New York Times as one of Florida’s top golfing venues.
